Whew!!!!!!!

So, it’s July 5th.  That means that it has been a VERY LONG TIME since I have updated the site– and I am sooooo sorry!  :-)   We have been so extremely busy that there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done.  So here are our updates for the past month– hopefully I will remember everything!

Mommy started back to school on June 1st- and this has kept me extremely busy.  The girls started going to “KeKe’s” house 4 days a week while Mommy is in school.  Most kids wouldn’t be excited about going to daycare, but the girls absolutely LOVE IT!  (The first few days were a little rough for Carly, but she seems to have adjusted quite well now.)   KeKe takes them on long walks, they go to the park, they run errands, they go swimming, they play outside and ride bikes.  Let’s just say they are not at a loss for things to do.  They have made so many new friends and are especially excited that they get to spend their days with their cousins Alex and Nick!

The girls also get to spend Sunday nights with DD.  They have been having sleepovers at DD’s house and this proves to always be a fun time.  DD bought them a pool, they swing on the swingset, and they eat lots of junk.  Let’s just say, they absolutely LOVE IT THERE!   There are days when they definitely don’t want to come home!

Avery had her 1st dance recital on Sunday, June 6th.  She was beautiful and turned out to be quite the little performer.  No stage fright here!  It was absolutely adorable and she was excited to share this special day with so many people.  Not only were Bianca and Ellie there to perform along side of her, but she had a whole cheering section that came to watch!  Thank you to Mema, G-Dad, DD, Penny, Matt, Nicki, Daddy, Carly, Aunt Erin and Aunt Terri for showing your support!  Avery was so excited to have so many people come out and celebrate with her!

Another exciting update is that Avery and Carly now have a new Baby Cousin!!!!  That’s right– Uncle Matt and Nicki welcomed Baby Aiden Joshua on Fathers Day!  What a Father’s Day gift!!!!   He is absolutely beautiful.  He was born on June 20th and weighed in at 6lbs and 14 ounces.  He was 20 inches long.  Aiden is the cutest baby and is not at a loss for love.  The girls cannot get enough of him.  There is a little hint of jealousy when Aiden gets lovins from me, but the girls just want to hold him and love him as much as they can.  He really is a little blessing and we are so very happy for Matt and Nicki and their newest addition!

On the weekend of July 24th (last weekend) we got a chance to go to Avery and Carly’s new Preschool.  They had an open house and we got to check out their classrooms and meet some new friends.  It is a brand new preschool and let’s just say it is awesome!  The girls are super excited about going to this new school and where I know Avery will certainly miss her friends and teachers from St. Peters, she is excited to be in the same class as one of her very best friends, Bianca.  Carly is also excited…. she told us when we showed up that Mommy and Daddy could go home cause she was ready to go to school– LOL!   I think that the girls will have a blast in their new school and it will give Mommy a much needed break with both of the girls going to school on the same days at the same time!  YAY YAY YAY :-)

This past week has been especially busy.  Mommy finished up her first class at school- so this week meant lots of exams and study time.  This means lots of extra daddy playtime with the girls.  I must say, Daddy has been a trooper this whole month with the girls.  He even ventured out with the girls all by himself to the movies to see Toy Story 3~~  and the girls LOVED IT!   I know how exhausting it is to have two very active toddlers who at the ages of 2 and 3 seem to know everything~  that being said,  I applaud Daddy for being such a great daddy and keeping these girls entertained for all of the hours Mommy needed to study and get things done!  U rock Daddy and I know the girls are enjoying all of this special time with you!

This brings us to this weekend~  Yesterday was the 4th of July and we had quite a fun and exciting day!  The girls and I kicked the day off by going to the gym pool and swimming and swimming and more swimming!  Carly is a little daredevil- she just jumps right in and gets wet!  Avery is a little more cautious, but she is getting more and more brave everyday.  Yesterday was a big day for Avery- she is finally now jumping in to me without holding onto my hands.  This “trust” thing is a big step for her and I am so very proud!  After pool time, we headed north to our cousin Colin’s house for a BBQ!  Thank you Colin for having such a wonderful little shindig!  We got a chance to catch up with some family and meet Aunt Barb and Uncle Brooke’s newest additions– Melody and Cohen!  They are HUGE german shephard type puppies and they just LOVED the girls!  I think they loved the girls so that they could try to steal their food– LOL.  Either way, we had a great time visiting with our family that we don’t get to see all that often.  After Colins, we headed over to the Mahoney’s to visit for a while before the fireworks.  The girls got to play on the playground, have some delicious snacks and cupcakes and most importantly, Avery and Carly got to see “B” -(Bianca).

Late night, we went to go see the fireworks.  After multiple attempts at a “SPOT”, we finally were able to see them off in the distance through some trees.  NOT what we had hoped for as far as 4th of July fireworks, but now that we know how Columbia works, we will be looking to go elsewhere next year.  It was enough for the girls, but a bit disappointing considering where we live!  Oh well– there’s always next year.  All in all, the girls got to celebrate with family and friends and had a fantabulous, fun-filled day!

That brings us to today… not sure exactly what were gonna do, but it’s gonna be a family fun day with Mommy and Daddy both around!  I’ll be sure to fill everyone in and hopefully update a lot more quickly from now on!  I have updated lots of pictures to the website though, so be sure to check them out…. ENJOY!
