Summer is just flying by but we are sure taking the time to enjoy every moment! The girls and I go to the gym every morning and then follow our “work-out” time with going to the gym pool time on most days. Avery is becoming quite the little fish and Carly is getting more and more brave with each visit. We have even had some playtime at Mema and G-Dad’s pool and the neighborhood pool… I think these girls will be swimming like sharks by the end of the summer.
Other than that we have been spending lots of outside time playing with our friends, eating popsicles, going for ice cream and taking many, many trips to our neighborhood park. I swear I have no idea how these kids have so much energy! By the end of the day I am ready to collapse and they are still going strong. Carly, however, has started to tell us when she has had enough. She will now just look at you and say, “Night- Night”-( well, her version is Ny-Nyte)…. It really is cute!
Carly is becoming quite the conversationalist- she has more and more words everyday. I just love listening to her- lets just say she defintely knows how to get her point across. One thing though that we are really trying to work on with Carly is her ability to throw a right hook! Yes, Yes– My child is the bully. If she doesn’t like what you have to say, or she wants your toy, etc… she will just walk up to you, yell “MINE” and punch/ hit you. We have been constantly working on these things, but it really is hard when she is smiling at you as she sits in time out. I struggle not to laugh at her because she really is adorable– meanness and all!!! So, lets just say that we will keep working things and pray that this is just a phase!!!
Avery is still a little DIVA- She has a great big heart and with that big heart come some big emotions and a big attitude all wrapped in one. She is sweet as pie, but if she doesn’t get her way, there can be some serious drama! I think that most times it’s hysterical, but we are working on that too. The tantrums i am chalking up as the TERRIBLE TWO’S and hoping that when she turns 3, the drama will settle a bit. I have heard that is wishful thinking from my friends that have older girls, but I am gonna continue to live my lie and see for myself!!!
We are gearing up for a trip to the beach next week. We will be going and staying with Grandmom and Pop and we are looking forward to lots of playtime on the beach. We plan on building sandcastles, swimming, catching sandcrabs, eating lots of junk and having a good old time! We are even going to go to the boardwalk to check out the sights and ride some rides. We will have an update and lots of pix when we get back… Until then, enjoy the new pix that were just uploaded… the girls really are growing up faster than I ever imagined!!! Where did my little babies go????
