Kids say the darndest things!

I have found that a 2 year old will repeat absolutely everything!  The good things, the bad things, and the things that should absolutely not be repeated.   The bad things-  Ben told me to get out of bed the other day, I said that I didn’t want to… Avery said, “you don’t have a choice Mommy!” (bossy much?!?)… Later on the same day, I overheard her calling Kayla (our dog) an  “A**hole”- I have no idea where she heard that.   I have however come to appreciate the good things that I hear…. for instance, I have a cheering section everytime I decide to go into the bathroom- doesn’t matter what it’s for-  i hear “I’m so proud of you Mommy!”…  Ahhh, the joys of parenthood.

Avery has started up her Rockin Tots class again, and is the star of the class.  She is in there moving and shaking and having a grand old time.  She just loves this class and I think that this could be a sign of things to come… Let’s just hope that she is the “featured dancer” – if you know what I mean… LOL LOL….

I have also signed Avery up for “big girl school” through HoCo Parks and Rec and will be starting school this week.  She will be going 2 times a week for 2 hours each class… She seems very excited about it-  I think that she will do better than I will especially since this is a class where parents don’t stay.  Tomorrow is the big day, so I will be sure to fill everyone in on how things go- we even bought a new outfit for the occasion!!!

Carly- well, Carly is just Carly- happy as a clam.    As long as she is fed, she is happy happy happy!  She takes her eating very seriously– those of you that have seen her, You know what I am talking about.  She is literally RUNNING to keep up with her sister- and she certainly has the bruises to prove it.  She is starting to really “Chat” alot more and she just has the most infectious laugh…. She surprises herself when she has “gas” and she thinks that is just the most hysterical thing!  Carly is having some separation issues (as I remember Avery did at the same exact age) but it seems to be getting better as days pass.  She really is the sweetest thing-  I am looking forward to some quality time with her while Avery is in her new class.

The rest of this month will be pretty low key- Mommy celebrates her BD this month– 29 on the 29th… No, Not the big 30 yet- just 29!  But, really we are going to be doing all of the planning for Carly’s Big day– She turns 1 on Feb 12th and there is a lot of planning for her Big Party!  After all, it’s a big day when you are a whole year old!  I can’t wait… actually, i can– But, I can’t!!! LOL

Other than that, life is pretty routine here… playing with toys, making messes, lots of laughter, lots of tears- your typical day for a 2 year old and almost 1 year old… We are looking forward to some springtime weather (its snowing outside as I write)…  As much as I get the girls out and about, it’s not nearly enough to exhaust these 2 little munckins… So i say, Bring on Spring!!!

I have updated some new pix in the January folder- be sure to take a peek…. Until next time….. :-)
