Avery went on her very 1st LONG road trip this past weekend to visit her Uncle Matt!  Yeppers- he is home from Afghanistan and we could hardly wait to go up and visit with him.  We left on Friday afternoon and spent 7 LONG hours in the car… we stopped halfway to grab a bite to eat and stretch our legs- so it broke up the trip a bit, but it sure was a hike!  Avery slept the entire time we were driving… which was wonderful!!

Avery also experienced her very 1st REAL SNOWFALL this weekend!!! While we were up visiting in NY, it probably snowed about 3 feet- and in some areas almost 100 inches (NO JOKE)!!  Holy SNOW!!!  We went to bed on Friday night (Avery’s First Night sleeping in a Hotel) and woke up in a winter wonderland… Avery has decided that she’s pretty sure she is going to be a beach baby- not a snow bunny- there are entirely too many clothes to wear in this type of weather– and we all know how much she hates to wear clothes!!

All in all it was a great weekend- we loved spending time with Uncle Matt and Grandaddy and playing in the snow! Avery’s first road trip was a great success- and as you can see… quite exhausting!!!
